Ending rough sleeping is the first step on the road to ending homelessness in England.
We believe that this is a simple ambition that everyone can share and benefit from. Helping individuals to regain independence and overcome their problems benefits them and saves society money.
There are steps that we can all take to make sure no one has to make a life on the streets.
There are lots of opportunities to volunteer with local services, from fundraising and events to mentoring and outreach. Find out about opportunities near you:

Money raised will be divided among the homeless organisations taking part in the event, including:
Crisis Skylight, Braintree Foyer, Streetwise Opera, Cardboard Citizens, Collective Encounters, ECHG Mike Jackson House and Tameside, Vita Nova, Lodging House Mission, Forum Housing, Two Saints, St Mungos, GISDA, Brighton Housing Trust, 240 Project, 1625 Independent People, Booth Centre, Doorway, Off Centre; The Right Track, Open Cinema, The Choir with No Name, Bristol Foyer, OPEN House Foyer and other homeless organisations nominated by solo performers.
London 2012 has made history as the first Olympic and Paralympic Games to celebrate the talents of homeless people.
