‘With One Voice’ celebrates performers who have experienced homelessness and the organisations who work with them.

Turning stigma into celebration

On 2 July 2012 award-winning charity Streetwise Opera presented a showcase during the London 2012 Festival to platform the skills of 300 performers who have experienced homelessness from all over the UK and abroad. With One Voice is inspired by Homeless Link and the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation who wanted to ensure that homeless people were involved at the heart of London 2012, the first time this has happened in Olympic history.

This ground-breaking performance event gave a voice to those who are often side-lined and ignored during the Olympics Games; raising awareness about homelessness at a global event. This website is part of the legacy of that event, providing a network for performers and organisations, and a resource for finding out more about arts and homelessness.
