‘With One Voice’ is an Open Mic showcase at the Olympic Games starring 300 performers who have experienced homelessness
2012 Festival, Royal Opera House, 2 July 2012

Turning stigma into celebration
Award-winning charity Streetwise Opera will be presenting an Open Mic Showcase during the London 2012 Festival to platform the skills of 300 performers who have experienced homelessness from all over the UK and abroad. With One Voice is inspired by Homeless Link and the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation who wanted to ensure that homeless people were involved at the heart of London 2012, the first time this will happen in Olympic history.
This ground-breaking performance event will give a voice to those who are often side-lined and ignored during the Olympics Games – a chance to raise awareness about homelessness at a global event.
